THE Somerset Hawk and Owl Trust will continue its conservation days on the Levels on Sunday, April 13, with work on the new reserve at Shapwick Moor.
The trust is now also set to hold regular volunteer days on the fourth Sunday of each month.
Some 30 volunteers turned out for the last volunteer day on February 24, and planted 2,500 hedging trees along the new permissive path on the south border of the reserve.
On Tuesday, April 8, photographer Helen Williams will give a talk and slideshow at Wells Museum titled Wildlife in the Falklands, which focuses on the trip she made to the islands in 2004, covering species such as penguins, Black Browed Albatrosses and Elephant Seals.
The talk begins at 8pm and anyone with an interest in rare, exotic species is welcome to attend.
