POLICE have discovered cannabis plants with a potential street value of £65,000 in an outbuilding in Bridgwater following information from the public.
Officers attended a property in the Ridgeway Cottages area of Bridgwater at just after 8am yesterday.
Inside an outbuilding they located around 65 cannabis plants and around £3,000 worth of associated equipment.
Neighbourhood officer PC Dominic Bryant: “We received vital information from a member of the public which directly led to the discovery of a fairly sophisticated cannabis factory.
“The drugs have been seized for destruction and we’re carrying out further enquiries to trace those responsible for this criminal operation.”
