FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Longstone Avenue in Bridgwater last night following reports of a kitchen fire.
Crews were called to the scene at 7pm yesterday (Thursday, September 13) and swiftly got to work with the use of two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a safety jet to douse the flames.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Once the fire had been extinguished the property was heavily smoke logged therefore the crew used positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
"The cause of this incident is believed to be accidental."
The crew made the property and the area safe and returned to the station.
