MANY will be aware that for a number of years we have organised a Christmas Shoebox collection for various parts of the world.

This year we will once again be supporting the Devon voluntary charity Christian Response to Eastern Europe (cr2ee) who take humanitarian aid to Moldova as well as providing soup kitchens, medical and educational projects, family support etc.

We are also willing to receive excellent used bedding (no pillows), toys or any other item you feel will be suitable as cr2ee send three humanitarian trucks annually to one of the worlds poorest countries.

If you would like to be part of this Christmas appeal it is very easy - simply fill a box - this can be for a child, adult, or family - with age related gifts (all must be new), cover in festive paper, lightly Sellotape, and add a label to say boy/girl and age (eg 4-7 yrs) where appropriate and deliver to 4 South View, Hemyock EX15 3SQ before Friday, November 16.

A Christmas card and photo of your family in the box is also welcome but please do not include books with English words, playing cards or war related toys.

Welcome gifts can vary from toys, clothes, bags, shaving cream and perfume to food, Lego, friendship bracelets, hand cream and headscarves.

If you have any queries please email jbawler1947@hotmail.co.uk or phone 07773 579809.

If transport is a problem it may be possible to arrange collection.

Further details can be found at www.cr2ee.org.uk.
