A LANDMARK Bridgwater pub threw open its doors this week to reveal a new look after a six-figure refurbishment project was completed.

The Quantock reopened on Friday (July 13) but there was no bad luck involved as punters got to sample the venue’s extended drinks range and new carvery.

Work at the Greene King pub has created up to 15 new jobs.

Oliver Daniels, general manager at the Quantock, said: “The Quantock has always been a popular destination for people in Bridgwater, so we’re pleased to be able to offer an improved food and drink offering to our regulars and new customers alike.

“The investment has been a real success, with great feedback on the new carvery, and pub atmosphere.

"We look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months."
