TRAVELLERS: Twelve caravans appeared on the site over the weekend
THE travellers who had set up an unauthorised encampment on Bridgwater's Mount Street Car Park have now vacated the site.
The encampment of 12 caravans had moved onto the site over the weekend.
A spokesman for Sedgemoor District Council said: "We can confirm that the travellers have now vacated the Mount Street Car Park which they had entered unlawfully.
"The site has been left in a reasonably clean and tidy state. "
