DOG walkers only have a few days left to enjoy Burnham beach as the seasonal ban is set to return.
The ban, enforced by Sedgemoor District Council, runs from May 1 until September 30 in Burnham-on-Sea.
The restrictions are in place between Maddocks Slade and the Yacht Club.
Those caught breaking the rules could be faced with a £75 fine.
A council spokesman said: "During the dog ban period, it is an offence to take you dog onto the beach and dog walkers can be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice of £75 or face prosecution for doing so.
"Sedgemoor’s dog wardens undertake patrols at the beaches and will issue fixed penalty notices to those caught with dogs on the banned beaches.
"Over the last 12 months the dog wardens have issued Penalty Notices for dogs on the beach (Beach 1) between the jetty and the Pavilion, where dogs are banned all year round."
