CHANGES are coming to kerbside collections across Sedgemoor.

Somerset Waste Partnership is warning residents to have their waste out by 7am at the latest or risk it being missed.

The timing of waste pick-ups for all homes in Sedgemoor will be changing over the next two weeks. SWP says the collection rounds are being overhauled to improve efficiency and to better-reach the growing number of new homes.

A few families will see changes to the day their waste is collected, but they will be notified with a letter explaining the new routine.

A SWP spokesman said: “Many residents will have earlier collections due to these changes, so from now on, everyone must do their best to ensure their containers are out by 7am on collection day or the night before.”

Options for residents who miss the collection trucks on the new timetable include storing materials untill their next pick-up or – if they have time and transport – taking their recycling or rubbish to a recycling site.
