PUDDLES of standing water are covering roads across the county after an influx of heavy rain.
One reader sent in this photo of Priory Avenue near the Shell Garage in Taunton.
Standing water covers both lanes on the road.
Somerset Road Safety has sent out a message to motorists warning them of the dangers of driving through flood water.
According to the safety group, 30cm of flowing water is enough to move the average family car.
Lots of standing water / large puddles around this morning. Take care if travelling. Increase the distances and brake gently. See @SCC_RoadSafety for further advice

Lots of standing water on the roads today. It's hard to judge how deep flood water is or to know what's hiding under the surface so stay safe and never drive through it. #TuesdayThoughts #TravelTuesday #RoadSafety #rain pic.twitter.com/NXiIxPnwMw
