A WEATHER warning has been issued for heavy rain across Somerset and the rest of the South West.
The Met Office has warned people to expect hazardous conditions when heavy rain batters the county this afternoon and into the evening.
Flash flooding is expected at locations across the county and the yellow warning will be in place from 3pm until 10pm.

The Met Office states on its website: “Heavy showers will develop through Tuesday afternoon, perhaps becoming more persistent in places later.
“While not everywhere will see showers, some places may see 10-15 mm of rain fall within an hour, with 25 mm possibly falling very locally in 3-6 hours. As the ground in these areas is already near saturated, this rainfall brings an increased risk of flooding. Lightning may be an additional hazard.”
