A PLAN has been submitted to convert part of Bridgwater’s Post Office in Eastover into a new ‘solarium’.

The application states: “The internal floorspace is 309sqm however this includes the Post Office service to the rear which will not be changing use or form part of the new solarium.”

The development would see a number of sunbeds installed on the ground floor.

The proposal includes the creation of a second entrance from New Street as well as a new shop frontage.

Permission had been given for eight apartments on the first floor but this has not been implemented.
