FOLLOWING months of dedication and hard work, 50 Haygrove School students proudly accepted their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards at ceremony held in the school hall.

To gain this prestigious award, each student has completed multiple challenges including volunteer work, learning a new skill and a long expedition which was reminisced fondly on the night.
Cath Clark, head of outdoor education said: “The award can be challenging to all students. Some may find learning a new skill difficult whereas others might not be used to the physical aspect of the programme.

"As well as an excellent addition to their CVs, the award allows young people the opportunity to try new things and thrive where they may not have thought they could.”
