A CALF was rescued from a water-filled ditch in Wedmore.
Firefighters were called to a track off, North Chine Drove near Mudgley at 1.28pm today (January 14) after reports that a calf was stuck in a water-filled ditch.
One fire engine from Cheddar and the Special Rescue Team from Bridgwater was sent to the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed that the small calf was stuck in a ditch filled approximately 3 feet deep with water.
The calf was rescued by the Fire Service Special Rescue Team using water rescue equipment and lines.
