Concern for girls' safety after being spotted in car driven "erratically"
AN irresponsible motorist was spotted driving "erratically" in Burnham-on-Sea with three girls in the back of the car.
The car, a blue BMW, was allegedly spotted at around 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday, September 9) driving in the Abingdon Street area.
Avon and Somerset Police officers are now appealing for witnesses out of concern for the girls' safety.
A spokesman said: "Witnesses have reported seeing two or three girls in the back of the vehicle in a distressed state.
"We’re concerned for the girls’ welfare and want to establish they are safe and well.
"If you can help us identify the girls, or if you have any information about the car, please contact us on 101 and give the call handler the reference 5217206648."
