A MAN was attacked while out walking his dog by a canal in Bridgwater.
The victim, aged in his 50s, was walking along the canal path at Marsh Lane, which runs between Showground Road and Taunton Road when he was assaulted by a man.
The incident happened at approximately 11.30am on Saturday, August 12.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, in particular any members of the public who offered assistance to the victim following the incident.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5217/184405."
