A 56-year-old man has died after being hit by a train at a station in Somerset.
There were delays to services between Honiton and Yeovil late last night after the man was hit by a train in Crewkerne.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Crewkerne rail station following reports of a person struck by a train.
"The call came into police at 11.13pm on Monday, August 7.
"Officers attended alongside paramedics. Sadly a 56-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"His family have been informed of his death.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
