THREE adults needed first aid following a collision between a car and a lorry.
Emergency services were called to reports of the car smoking at the junction of the A38 and the Bristol Road at Walpole, Bridgwater, outside British Car Auctions, shortly after 2.30pm today (Friday).
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "On arrival crews informed control that this incident was on the main A38 junction and a further appliance from Burnham-on-Sea was mobilised.
"The first crew confirmed there were no persons trapped but the fire service were rendering first aid to three adults and requested an ambulance for one for precautionary measures.
"One hose reel jet and small tools were used to make the vehicles safe."
