AN ENMORE woman has raised nearly £1,000 for charity after completing a 15,000ft skydive.

Jan Cromack, 63, raised money for Save Our Soldier, a Bath-based charity which helps serviceman suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

Mrs Cromack completed the skydive at Dunkeswell, and had a full minute of freefall before the parachute was opened.

"It was quite disorientating, I didn't feel the need to scream but it was an exhilarating experience," she said.

"I just really hoped it would raise awareness for this fantastic cause. The suicide figures for men who have served in places like Iraq and Afghanistan is really shocking, and this charity helps vulnerable people the help they need."
