A BRIDGWATER girl who’s dreams were crushed when she was hit by a car five years ago has finally seen the end to her legal nightmares.

When Rosie-Anne Keirle was 16-years-old her dream was to join the army, but on her way home from visiting the force’s recruitment office, a car pulled out of a side road and hit her vehicle.

Her injuries meant she was no longer fit to pursue her dreams, but that was only part of the suffering Rosie-Anne endured during a legal battle that “let her down”.

Miss Keirle’s car insurance company passed her case to a solicitors based in Macclesfield. It became evident that the firm wasn’t sure how to get Miss Keirle the compensation she deserved as she was passed from call handler to call handler.

Miss Keirle, who is now 22 and works at Hinkley Point, says she regrets taking the advice of her car insurer as it stopped her from moving on with her life.

She said: “It was a five-year claim from hell. It ended up more to do with fighting my own solicitor. I wasn’t aware that you could change firms, I thought you were tied down.

“I wish I had gone to Pardoes in the first instance, but I took my insurer’s advice thinking they know best, but I was wrong.

“I just wanted it to be over.

“Losing my dream career is something that is still with me now. It was taken away from me at such a young age. I’m now working at Hinkley Point C and thinking about what career path I want to go down.”

Miss Keirle suffered lower back injuries during the accident and will have to live with back pain for the rest of her life.

She added: “It was so painful, absolutely awful. But as soon as the claim ended, it was like a weight lifted off my shoulders.

“I will have back pain for the rest of my life, I will have to find ways to manage and cope with that. If it wasn’t for Jonathan at Pardoes I don’t know what I would have done. He got everything sorted in a few months, it was so fast and I could carry on with my life.”

After her five-year struggle, Miss Keirle obtained double the amount of compensation through Pardoes than her original solicitors were offered.

Jonathan Rich, head of the personal injury department at Pardoes said: “What was important was that a lot of lawyers let her down.

“She had to give up her dream and that had a significant impact on her life. She was left floundering.”

“I was pleased to be able to help Rosie, and to do so quickly.

“All her case needed was for somebody to ask the right questions and obtain the right evidence so we could end Rosie-Anne’s legal nightmare and help her get on with her life.”
