FALMOUTH will meet Penzance in the Vinter Cup final at Camborne on Wednesday, July 12 (6pm).

In Wednesday’s first semi, Falmouth beat Truro by nine runs at Redruth.

Falmouth made 130 for 6 with openers Stefan Churcher making 40 and Richard Kellow 37. They put on 64 for the first wicket in nine overs.

Truro were restricted to 121 for 7 in reply. They had required 41 off the last five overs and 16 off the last.

They had been 67 for 3 after ten overs. Eric Osner only conceded 14 runs in his four overs.

Redruth – Falmouth 130-6 (S Churcher 40, R Kellow 37, J Stephens 13; K Snell 2-22, R Spall 2-23) beat Truro 121-7 (R Harrison 31, S Harvey 30; S Kellow 2-28) by nine runs.

Last night, Penzance beat Camborne by 74 runs at Helston. After losing two wickets in the first two overs Penzance recovered to make 157 for 6 with Greg Smith getting 73 and Christian Purchase 42.

Camborne were all out for 83.

Helston – Penzance 157-6 (G Smith 73, C Purchase 42; S Pooley 4-27) beat Camborne 83 (S Hosking 43; B Wadlan 4-6, J Paull 2-6, R Edwards 2-13) by 74 runs.

At Truro on Sunday, Cornwall, Devon and Somerset will play for the County T20 Trophy. Devon will take on Cornwall at 10.30am, followed by Devon versus Somerset at 1.45pm and Cornwall v Somerset at 5pm.
