AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after an arson attack in Bridgwater. 

Firefighters were called to a property on Wyndham Road in Bridgwater at around 1am on May 18 after reports that two cars were on fire. 

Both vehicles were damaged in the fire as well as the plastic external fittings of the home.

Police have launched an investigation into the attack and are appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "We are investigating a fire which damaged two cars, a Mazda and a Vauxhall Corsa and the front of a property in Wyndham Road, Bridgwater, in the early hours of May 18.

"The fire is being treated as arson.

"If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the Wyndham Road area between midnight and 1am, please come forward with information."
