AN ALL-STAR show will be culminating Bridgwater's third annual twinning event.

The show will take place at Bridgwater Arts Centre, promoting the town's five twin towns from across Europe over the weekend of April 22.

The Somerset town is twinned with La Ciotat (France) Homberg (Germany) Uherske Hradiste (Czech Republic) Marsa (Malta) and Priverno (Italy).

La Ciotat and Bridgwater are celebrating 60 years of twinning this year while Homberg and Uherske Hradiste celebrate 25 years.

On Saturday April 22, all the twinning groups will be holding a day time event in the Angel Place Shopping Centre.

There will be stalls between 11am and 2pm, letting people know what activities are planned and how you can get involved, alongside samples of food and drink from their partner countries.

On the evening of Saturday April 22, there will be a Twinning Cabaret Evening at the Bridgwater Arts Centre which will feature performances from the Italian rockabilly band After Dark and the folk band PEPPE’S BAND from Priverno alongside Bridgwater acts the Alima Janaan belly dance troupe.

As  a one-off treat, town council leader Brian Smedley will be teaming up with singer songwriter Claude Sandiford to present Brian and Claude’s Multinational Big band.

The evening event will start at 8pm and will also include items from Bridgwater's twin towns including video clips, face to space link ups and live performances.

All are welcome, especially those interested in finding out more about  Bridgwater’s international links.

The event costs £10 and tickets are available in advance from the Art Centres website -  www.bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk
