Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw the crash on the A39 at Bawdrip at 3.15pm on Wednesday, March 29.

A large goods lorry collided with a telephone pole and a street light before crashing into the house.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The collision caused significant damage to the building. The owner, who was home at the time of the collision, was unhurt.

"The driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries and was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital. He was discharged the following day.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact us on 101 and quote log number 640 of 29/3."
