FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a property in North Petherton after reports of a fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 6.51pm today (March 27) to Stockmoor Drive in North Petherton after reports of a cooker fire.
Two fire engines from Bridgwater attended the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed a gas fueled cooker was on fire.
Crews got to work with two breathing apparatus and one CO2 extinguisher.
At 6.40pm crews confirmed the fire was out.
The cooker sustained 5 per cent flame damage and 10 per cent smoke and heat damage.
The kitchen sustained 5 per cent flame damage and 10 per cent smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
