MEMBERS of the Bridgwater Young Farmers club helped a primary school with a spring gardening project.
Hannah Dyer, the social secretary for the club and a teacher at St John and St Francis Primary School, Westonzoyland Road, put the club forward to help the school a green-fingered task.
Six members gave up their weekend to dig the flower beds, remove dead plants and shrubs, install a neat border and restock the bed with primulas, bulbs and flowering shrubs to improve the schools kerb appeal.
Club chairman, Ben Druitt, was pleased to lead the group which included Sophie and Daniel Burge, former chairman Rachel Dyer with her brother John and sister Hannah.
The school appreciated the work and posted on its Twitter account: "The flower bed project is starting to take shape. Big thanks to the Bridgwater Young Farmers for their help planting the bulbs. Spring is coming."
