STAFF at Bridgwater Specsavers help raise more than £350 for charity with a number of Red Nose Day activities.

A number of staff joined forces with walkers taking on a charity challenge between Taunton and Bridgwater, where as well as red noses, red comedy glasses were worn.

You can still purchase the comedy specs from the store on High Street to help improve the total and are available in adult and children's sizes.

Bridgwater store director, Jerry Shrubb, said: "The glasses are great fun and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media.

"Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back."

Specsavers in Bridgwater has joined stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
