A BRIDGWATER school has appointed a new head boy.
Brymore Academy appointed Zaid Elmrabti, 15 into the role after a rigorous selection process.
Zaid was interviewed by members of the Senior Leadership Team and did a presentation to the whole school to get the position.
A spokesman for Brymore Academy said:"Zaid, along with all of the contenders, displayed courage and dignity throughout the process which was designed to challenge all the boys at the highest level."
Rhys Thomas was selected as Deputy Head Boy with Alfie Russell, Tom Russell and Dylan Green-Sims being chosen as Assistant Head Boys.
Mark Thomas, headteacher of Brymore Academy said: "The 11 boys who put themselves forward for the top roles all had the three R's in abundance and we are very proud of them but could only chose one for the top job.
"As a head boy, I have no doubt that Zaid will display the leadership skills necessary and take on the responsibility like a man."
