A SANCTUARY Care home in Bridgwater showed blossoming support to a St Margaret’s Hospice fundraising campaign.

As their official charity partner for spring, The Rosary Nursing Home in Mayfield Drive hosted a ‘Wear it Yellow’ as part of the St Margaret’s Hospice fundraiser.

The home was transformed into a scene of spring with an abundance of beautifully-bright sunflowers, many of which were lovingly made by the nursing home’s residents.

Members of the team donated £1 each to dress head to toe in yellow for the special occasion.

Resident George Stabbins, 80, who sported a bright yellow wig for the day said: “It was really good fun for a great cause – and it was nice to have a full head of hair for the day!”

The Sanctuary Care home’s manager Natali Edwards said: “St Margaret’s Hospice provides invaluable care to many local families and we wanted to show our support for the fantastic work they provide.

“Our ‘Wear it Yellow’ celebration was a lot of fun and also marked the launch of our new partnership with the charity, where we are planning to have lots more fundraising activities taking place in the not so distant future – watch this space.”

St Margaret’s Hospice has over 37 years’ experience in delivering high quality compassionate care to families facing life-limiting illness in Somerset.
