FIRE engines have been rushed to an electrical fire at Bridgwater's Royal mail depot.
One crew from Bridgwater was sent to the fire at the Royal Mail Road Transport Depot in Friarn Street at around 6am this morning (February 28).
The fire engine was mobilised following a call from an alarm receiving centre who were reporting an alarm activating at the above premise.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset fire and rescue said: "Shortly after arriving and investigating we discovered there had been a small fire, in an electrical light unit, but it was out on our arrival.
"We carried out an inspection only before leaving duty of care with a member of staff. Damage was minimal, confined to the light fitting only and the fire was confirmed to have started accidentally."
