ONE lane on the M5 will remain closed overnight while emergency repairs are carried out to the road following a crash earlier today.
The crash occurred between Junction 23 Bridgwater and Junction 22 Burnham-on-Sea northbound around 10.15am today (February 16).
Highways England have said they will need to resurface part of the road tonight where oil was spilled in the collision.
A spokesman for Highways England said: "The spillage has damaged the carriageway and will need to resurfaced overnight. Two lanes will need to be closed."
The lane is expected to reopen between 2.45am and 3am tomorrow (February 17).
