FAMILIES taking their children for a half term McDonald's were shocked when a customer allegedly flashed at diners.

Distressed youngsters were reported as being in tears during Monday's incident at the fast food restaurant on Gallagher Retail Park, in Bridgwater.

Police officers raced to the scene after receiving a 999 call and the suspect was said to have been wrestled to the ground before being arrested.

He has since been charged and is due to appear in court next month.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: "We have charged a 22-year-old man with indecent exposure and breaching a criminal behaviour order. He is due to appear in court on March 6."
