FIREFIGHTERS have had a busy Christmas Day morning tackling a large industrial fire in Bridgwater.
Crews from Bridgwater, Burnham and Taunton all attended reports of a commercial unit on fire at the Transform Industrial Estate just off Wylds Road.
On arrival the firefighters found the ground floor on one of the industrial units to be heavily smoke logged and got to work using breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and hose reel jet.
At 7.37am an environmental protection unit was requested from Taunton.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said:"The main fire was extinguished at 8.21am and crews continued to remove fire debris.
"At just before 9am the fire was completely out and an investigation has been launched into what caused the fire."
