THIS week Sedgemoor FM DJ Dave Englefield talks about the his new hero: Dr Len Fisher.
The weather is finally reflecting the season we’re in.

I don’t mind the colder mornings, as long as it doesn’t take too long for the car to warm up.

To be honest, by the time I’ve driven to the studios the car is just about starting to get to a decent temperature and then I have to get out into the cold again. Although it doesn’t half wake you up quickly!

I have a new hero in Dr Len Fisher. He has won my admiration for carrying out major scientific research, which must have been very stressful for him, as well as those around him.

He sacrificed himself for the greater good putting himself into situations so that you and I can sleep easier at night and not have to worry about things so much.

What has he contributed to our world? Is it a solution to pollution? Some major breakthrough in crop growing? Nope. Dr Len Fisher has worked out the mathematical formula so that we know how much gravy we need for our roast dinners. He’s also come up with the best biscuits for dunking into tea.

He is actually a very clever man but likes to have a few fun bits to brighten the very serious world of science. Check him out online.
In radioland this week, Scott is back on Sundays following his house move and Sinead continues to sit in for Will for a couple more weeks.

On a Christmassy note, if you would like your child to get a phone call from Father Christmas for a special show we are doing head over to our website and click the button!
