BRIDGWATER Arts Centre will host the second Bridgwater’s Got Talent, a variety show for local talent.

A host of acts will unveil their talents and battle it out for the top spot on Saturday, December 10.

Now an annual event in the Bridgwater Arts Centre’s calendar, this promises to be a real family treat.

The Christmas extravaganza is presented by BBC Somerset’s Ben McGrail with a Somerset-based panel of professionals.

This year's judges are Sinead Gillespie, Mervyn Brown and Trish Caller.

Contestants through to the live show are Lennie Stanford, Claude Sandiford, Jemma Davey, Nathan Ball, Lewis Smith, Freya Curtis, Alanis Mahdy and Mark Wall.

The entrants have an array of different talents to make this an exciting old school variety show, all vying to be crowned the winner and take the amazing prize of a professional photoshoot from Timeless Images.

The entertainment continues with a live performance from last year’s winner, Ellen Hamilton.

A spokesman for Bridgwater Arts Centre said: "The talent show is set to raise the roof, so come along and witness the amazing skills of your community."

Last year's inaugural competition was won by Ivy Hamilton-Baker, a pianist and vocalist, who took the winner's crown with her original song.

Bridgwater’s Got Talent is at Bridgwater Arts Centre on Saturday 10 December at 7.30pm, tickets £11, call the Box Office on 01278 422700 or visit www.bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk
