Lord and Lady Fellowes have agreed to become patrons of children's charity Brainwave.

The pair have supported the charity’s fundraising efforts over the last 12 months and have visited the therapy centre in Somerset where they met with a number of families who have benefitted from Brainwave’s therapy programmes.

Lady Fellowes, married to Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes. said: “We are delighted and most honoured to be patrons of Brainwave and we shall do our very best for this wonderful charity.”

Phil Edge, Chief Executive of Brainwave said: “Lord and Lady Fellowes have been fantastic supporters of the charity and we are delighted that they have now agreed to become patrons of Brainwave.

"We look forward to working with them both in the future and are extremely proud that they feel able to support Brainwave in this way.”

Brainwave’s team of experienced physiotherapists, occupational therapists, educational therapists and speech and language therapists seek to transform the lives of children with disabilities. By working with parents, giving them relevant therapy equipment and teaching them correct handling skills, they are empowered to actively participate in their child’s development which aims to increase their mobility, communication skills and learning ability.
