STABLES have been destroyed after a fire at a farm on Tapmoor Road.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 8:14am to reports of a stable fire on Tampoor Road in Bridgwater.
Shortly after arriving, the crew confirmed that the timber framed building was completely destroyed.
Three LPG cylinders were discovered at the scene and safely removed by fire crews.
Fire crews confirmed the fire had been started deliberately and duty of care was handed over to the police.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were alerted by the fire service at 8:10am to a fire on Tapmoor Road.
"Upon arrival, officers confirmed that stables had been destroyed but that no animals or people had been hurt as a result of the fire.
"Crime Scene Investigators have now attended the scene after confirmation from fire crews that the fire had been started deliberately. Enquiries are currently ongoing."
