MORE than 600 exhibits were on show during a blooming marvellous Bridgwater Flower Show.

The Town Hall was packed with a wealth of flowers, vegetables, arts and crafts, photography, food and drink and much more.

There were sections for novices, over sixties and allotment holders as well as plenty of children's classes.

Overall there were 42 new classes including a salad collection, afternoon tea on a cake stand and stitching and crafting.

The classes for children also featured a number of new titles as well, with a hand print pattern, make a carnival mask and the Something I Grew Myself among them..

“There was something for everyone in this year’s show,” said secretary Jackie Sealey.

“It’s not all about flowers and vegetables, we have so much more here for adults and children.

"Our judges, many of whom travel the county on a national judging status, tell us that the quality of our entries is one of the highest in Somerset, a reputation of which we are very proud."

The Bridgwater Flower Show has been running for more than 100 years, first taking place in August 1892.
