FIREFIGHTERS were called to Nether Stowey to reports of a large field fire.
These pictures were sent in by reader Ben Arrigoni, after large areas on The Mount in the village caught fire.
It is believed the fires were a controlled burn.
Firefighters were called at around 8.48pm last night, and did not leave the area until 9.30pm.
A spokesman for the fire service said that the fire was a controlled burn, and they gave advice to those behind the fire.
