MORE than 30 women from EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C site completed a 5km 'Pretty Muddy' run in aid of the charity Breast Cancer Research.
The group, nicknamed 'The Power Ladies', took on the challenge at Clifton Downs in Bristol, with the route including an obstacle course, as well as lots of mud.
The team has already raised more than £6,500 and donations can still be made via the website www.justgiving.com/teams/the-power-ladies.
Sally Spuffard, who organised the team, said: "It was an incredible event – the ladies did a great job in completing the challenge and smashing the original fundraising target of £1,500.
“I would like to thank everyone who supported us and helped us to raise so much money for a great cause."
The Pretty Muddy challenge is part of a series of Race for Life events that take place across the UK for women to raise vital funds for the breast cancer research charity.
It is also an opportunity for people to remember those close to them who have suffered from cancer.
