A STORM is about to descend at The Tacchi Morris.
As the world marks the 400th Anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Thick as Thieves Theatre Company present a fresh adaptation of The Tempest at The Taunton Theatre.
Following last year’s critically acclaimed and award-nominated run at The Hope Theatre in London, The Tempest will sweep into the south west accompanied by relentless energy, breakneck costume changes and sparkling comedy.
Prospero and his daughter have been wronged, set adrift in the Mediterranean by a usurping sibling and a rival king.
They have lived on a deserted island for 12 years - well, almost deserted. When fate brings his enemies sailing past the island, Prospero decides to take matters into his own hands. What follows is a story of love, freedom and the consequences of heavy drinking.
Brave the elements and witness a company of four actors romping through this magical comedy that stays entirely faithful to the original text, while offering a riotous departure from the norm.
Tuesday, September 27 at 7.30pm. Tickets: £12 / £9 Students. Recommended for ages 10+
