KIND hearted staff and customers at Sainsbury’s in Bridgwater have once again been fundraising for St. Margaret’s Hospice.
The group have raised a total amount of £9,542.41.
The money will go directly to helping St. Margaret’s make each day count for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset.
The amount raised equates to 19 days of care for a patient on either of the charity's In-patient Units.
St. Margaret’s was the nominated charity of the year for 2015 and 2016 for the Bridgwater store.
The team have bee fundraising in a variety of ways including a charity walk, bingo, collections in-store, Bridgwater Carnival Santa cart, car parking at the Bridgwater Carnival, carrier bag charges plus many more.
A cheque was presented to the charity on July 5.
St. Margaret’s community fundraiser, Julie Draper, said: "It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside everyone at Sainsbury’s- it really has been fun.
"The support that we have been given by everyone has been amazing – thank you."
