A BRIDGWATER family are holding a fundraiser for their son Levi, 5, who suffers with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
It is a progressive muscle wasting condition that currently has no cure.
Mum Claire Watts said: "We are holding a fundraiser on Friday July 1 at Blake Hall to help with funds to build my son Levi a wet room.
"Our bathroom is shockingly small and we need room for his wheelchair as eventually Levi will be in one full time.
"We have tried going through the disability facilities grant but unfortunately we can't agree on things.
"They will only help on the condition that I make Levi have a bedroom downstairs and at his age we are not comfortable with him sleeping away from the rest of the family, especially as he needs me so much in the night."
The event, titled Sharing Love For Levi, will start at 6:30pm, with a disco at 7:30pm.
Children's entertainer, Krazy Kev, will be there as well as face painting and a raffle.
Tickets available on the door, with a family ticket costing £10.
