A BRIDGWATER entrepreneur has launched a brand new product.
Raj Maan has started up eSole, which is a form of wearable technology to help track people with Alzheimer's and Dementia who may unfortunately get lost.
The item is an insole placed inside shoes, designed to never be removed.
Mr Maan said: "eSole is a start-up in the wearable technology eHealthcare sector, which aims to help track and monitor those with a high propensity to get lost while undertaking day to day activities, such as people with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
"We are a team of three co-founders and we started eSole after finishing university.
"At the time we observed many cases of Dementia in the news and people leaving care and getting lost sometimes miles away from home.
"After doing some preliminary research we found out that there was no obvious reliable solution on the market.
"We have chosen to head the crowdfunding way to help generate awareness of our device and increase the chances of a successful campaign.
"We are trying to raise awareness through press to help us ensure that we meet our funding goal."
