A BRAVE Bridgwater youngster has kindly had her hair shaved off for charity.

April Stockham, who is aged seven, wanted to take on the challenge in memory of her grandad, Chris Llewelyn, the former landlord of the Cobblestones pub.

The money raised was donated to MacMillan cancer Support's Brave the Shave and her hair was donated to the Little Princess Trust.

April has raised £1,200 so far.

Her mum, Amanda Stockham, said: "April absolutely loved the whole experience- it was an amazing day with lots of support from family and friends.

"The smile never left her face- she was amazing an soaked up all the support.

"April was so happy she could help Macmillan Cancer Support by shaving, and then give her hair to Little Princess Trust to help people who don't have any hair.

"Her grandad Chris llewelyn would of be so proud to have seen her doing this in his memory.

"April is loving the new hair cut and she is inspirational young lady.

"Me as her mum, plus her dad, brother, sisters and all the rest of the family and friends are bursting with pride.
