VISITORS flocked to the annual Othery Street Fayre this weekend.

The free event took place this Saturday and featured a plethora of activities and various competitions to take part in.

The annual Street Fayre is the major fundraising event for the income which is vital to maintain and run St Michael's Church, a beautiful Grade 1 listed building.

Residents to part in competitions including fancy dress, best produce, a poetry competition and the smash hit Othery's Got Talent.

The day also featured plenty of entertainment including a Punch and Judy show, organ recitals, a birds of prey display, face painting and even Taekwando.

There were also a wide variety of food and drink stalls, a street market and much more and there was a great community atmosphere for visitors to soak up.

Secretary of the Othery Street Fayre Anita Winslade said: "People seemed to have a very enjoyable time and the traders seem to be doing well.

"There was a constant flow of visitors all day and it is always a very well supported event, and hopefully we raised some good money toward the church."
