BRIDGWATER'S Hamp Academy had a special delivery this month: chicken eggs!
The chicken eggs came to the school on May 3 and were kept in an incubator for a few days before several hatched.
Year 3 teacher Gemma Bryant said: "The children have had an enormous about of fun holding the chicks and looking after them, researching them and writing non-chronological reports.
"Throughout the week, parents have been invited in to see the chicks and many have commented on how much the children have enjoyed the experience. It has been a huge success and definitely something we will do again in the future."
