A GROUP of year ten students from Haygrove School enjoyed the final stage of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition.
The pupils had already completed a practise walk in March, so despite the forecast of wet weather, were well prepared.
The group of 50 teens left school and travelled to Sparkhayes campsite, where they set up their tents and spent their first night under canvas.
Saturday proved to be very wet as predicted but, undeterred, the students set off on the first leg of their trek to Winsford on Exmoor.
With the first part of their expedition complete, tents were pitched again and meals cooked on camp stoves.
Sunday was a drier day and the students rounded off the expedition by crossing the water at Tarr Steps to finish in the Exmoor town of Dulverton.
