A BRIDGWATER author is seeking the local community's help to find information and photos of the old pubs in the town.

Jane Penfold is putting together a book and is appealing to people who may be able to provide her with what she's looking for.

She said: "Bar 27 is in 27 St Mary Street I am looking for an old photo of it, names and dates of people that have run it, and a picture of its last year carnival cart which was Lights camera action.

"Blake Arms is in Penel Orlieu and I just need a picture of its carnival cart last year which was called Noah's Story, Marina Ahoy.

"The reason they have two names is because they run two carnival clubs from here.

"Blake Hall is in Saint Saviours Avenue.

"I am looking for an old picture of it.

"I also need names and dates of some landlords or landladies, and a picture of last years cart which was called Victorian Christmas, Wonderland.
