KIND hearted staff and patients from East Quay Medical Centre in Bridgwater have raised a fantastic £1820 for St. Margaret’s Hospice.
Staff and patients have worked tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds. Activities included a craft fair, book sales, tombola’s, cake sales, Xmas jumpers and a super bake off, all this added to the fun and to the total.
Staff from the surgery chose St. Margaret’s Hospice as their ‘charity of the year’ and recently presented the cheque to Julie Draper, community fundraiser, for St. Margaret’s Hospice.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to accept this donation from the staff of the surgery. Everyone worked so hard to raise these funds which will contribute to the general running costs of St. Margaret’s – A huge thank you to you all” said Julie.
St. Margaret’s Hospice is a registered charity which has been at the heart of Somerset’s community, making each day count for 35 years.
We strive to make each day count through the delivery of high quality, responsive, compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness.
