AN ESTEEMED zoologist will be paying a visit to Bridgwater this spring to give a talk on climate change.

Lord Krebs is a renowned scientist who specialises in ornithology and has five books and 130 refereed papers to his credit.

Lord Krebs will giving his speech at the event entitled Somerset: Adapting to Climate Change at the McMillan Theatre on Wednesday April 6 at 7pm.

He will be joined by chief executive of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), Matthew Taylor, who is often heard on BBC Radio 4's The Moral Maze.

The evening will explore the climate change outlook for Somerset over the next 50 years and the action being taken to adapt to this.
